We have a staff of well-trained and experienced professionals. All service
staff are Certified Lighting Technicians, certified by the interNational
Association of Lighting Management Companies (NALMCO). This certification
ensures that all employees who work on our customers’ lighting systems have a
wide knowledge of lighting technology. The president and sales staff are
Certified Lighting Management Consultants (CLMC).
The NALMCO certification is earned by first pre qualifying through experience
and education in the lighting field as well as through affiliations and
associations with lighting and lighting-related organizations. A written
examination is administered and covers every aspect of the lighting industry
including not only knowledge of lamps and ballasts, but also the ability to
calculate lighting levels, life cycle cost analysis, energy rates as well as
estimating and bidding. A CLMC must be re-certified every three years by
demonstrating continued education and association in the lighting industry.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency sponsors a program called Green
Lights. Green Lights is directed at energy conservation through the use of
energy-efficient products in our service packages. We work closely with public
utilities to evaluate businesses for significant reductions in electricity use
in their lighting systems.
