Luminaire offers outdoor lighting maintenance. Outdoor lighting, consisting of pole lights, ground lights, illuminated signs, building lights, etc., requires specialized service. Besides the obvious problem of getting up to the lamps in a 50-foot high pole light, outside lighting has special controls, certain weatherproofing aspects, higher voltage, and more high-powered lamps and ballasts.

Luminaire offers a “Lights On” program that involves inspecting a customer’s outside lighting—at night—once a month. If lights or signs are out, a technician is dispatched to the location to service the site. The customer is billed a fee once a month, and the fee covers both the inspection and any labor that’s required. It does not cover the cost of materials, which will be billed at predetermined prices—in most cases.

You know and we know that outdoor lighting is extremely important to a business and to the security of property, customers and employees. It’s hard for businesses to track outages, especially during the summer months when the days are longer. In many cases, we’re able to observe and remedy a problem before the customer even knows there is a problem.

As we do for indoor service, we also offer on-call outdoor lighting services, which are billed on a time and material basis.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, customers of Luminaire save time, equipment (which can be substantial), and the necessity of maintaining a lighting product inventory. Our technicians are trained to handle outdoor electrical problems. They regularly work on time clocks, light sensors and other control devices. They can handle any outdoor lighting problem—from a decorative fixture outside the front door to the neon sign above it.
